ResourCity is een educatieve augmented reality city game, ontwikkeld door VITO.
Wereldwijd staan we voor de uitdaging om de groeiende vraag naar materialen te voldoen. Materialen vind je in ondergrondse mijnen, maar steeds meer ook in de stadsmijn:
gebouwen, producten, etc. ResourCity laat je kennis maken met de stad als een mijn van materialen. Terwijl je de omgeving verkent, kan je chemische elementen vinden en
verzamelen. Door de verzamelde elementen te combineren, scoor je badges van materialen die belangrijk zijn in ons dagdagelijks leven. Wie erin slaagt alle badges bijeen te
spelen, wordt een heuse urban miner van ResourCity!
Met ResourCity vergroot je jouw kennis van chemie en materialen terwijl je een stad ontdekt. Tegelijk leer je hoe we materialen die steeds minder beschikbaar zijn op een
duurzame manier kunnen ontginnen en gebruiken. Daarmee krijg je inzicht in de overgang van een lineaire naar een circulaire economie.
Het spel is momenteel beschikbaar voor de omgeving van ‘Het Eilandje’ in Antwerpen.

Worldwide we face the challenge to meet the growing demand for materials. Materials can be found in underground mines, but increasingly also in the city mine: buildings,
products, etc. ResourCity lets you get to know the city as a mine of materials. As you explore the environment, you can find and collect chemical elements. By combining the
collected elements, you score badges of materials that are important in our daily life. Anyone who manages to play all badges together will become a real urban miner from
ResourCity!
With ResourCity you increase your knowledge of chemistry and materials while you discover a city. At the same time, you will learn how to develop and use materials that are
becoming less and less available in a sustainable way. This gives you insight into the transition from a linear to a circular economy.
The game is currently available for the 'Het Eilandje' area in Antwerp.
